USAO Men's Golf: Year in Review 2025-26
The men's golf team had their best season in program history and cracked in the top 10 of the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll for the first time in program history and made their first appearance at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship. The Drovers climbed to No. 8 in the final coaches' poll of the season, and they completed in seventh place the national championship.
While at the national championship, the Drovers held the team-lead after 18 holes, and Jaxen Brewer and Jaeden Ellis were tied at the top of the leaderboard (-2). Ellis concluded the tournament in 15th place and earned an All-Tournament nod.
The team also delivered a runner-up finish at the SAC Championship, which is the best finish in program history at the event. The Sooner Athletic Conference is widely regarded as one of the best golf conferences in the NAIA, featuring four teams that were ranked in the top 25 and qualified for the NAIA National Championship. The men's golf team was also stellar in the classroom, producing the departments highest team GPA for a men's team (3.40).
- JAXEN BREWER – NAIA ALL-AMERICAN | SAC MEN'S GOLFER OF THE YEAR | ALL-CONFERENCE
Jaxen Brewer helped lead the Drovers to top three finishes in seven of their ten tournaments this season. Out of those ten tournaments, Brewer placed in the top ten on eight occasions as an individual. For his efforts, Brewer is among USAO's first ever NAIA All-American's, alongside Jaeden Ellis. Brewer landed on the second team All-America.
He claimed his second career victory at the UC Ferguson Invitational and was awarded as the SAC Golfer of the Week following the win.
Brewer is currently ranked as the No. 18 men's golfer in the NAIA on Scoreboard.com, with a scoring average of 70.7.
- JAEDEN ELLIS – NAIA ALL-AMERICAN | NAIA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ALL-TOURNAMENT
Jaeden Ellis is currently the No. 73 ranked golfer on Scoreboard.com and led the Drovers with a 15th place finish at the NAIA National Championship at TPC Deere Run. His performances earn himself a third team NAIA All-American selection.
- CONNER CRYER
Conner Cryer is the No. 63 ranked golfer on Scoreboard.com and produced four top 10 finishes this season, including a runner-up finish at the Battle at Winter Creek.
The men's golf team produced the athletic department's highest GPA for a men's team, at 3.40 and earned SAC Scholar Team honors.
