Drovers Fall Short on the Road at OPSU

GOODWELL, Okla. – Friday afternoon, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (5-4-4, 1-3-1 SAC) on the road at Oklahoma Panhandle State University (5-3-4, 1-2-2 SAC). In eight head-to-head matchups since 2019, each side has won four times.

The game opened with a half-hour minute of scoreless action, but OPSU managed to claim the first lead in the 36^thminute. USAO's deficit remained one-goal going into the break.

Following halftime, the Aggies added some insurance with a goal in the 69^th minute. Neither team found the back of the net for the remainder of the contest.

As a team, USAO attempted a total of seven shots, with five being on goal, while OPSU attempted 16 shots, eight of which were on frame. Both teams were whistled for 13 fouls. OPSU had zero corner-kicks, in comparison to USAO's 12 attempts out of the offensive corners.

The Drovers will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18 as they host Wayland Baptist University. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 PM CT at McLaughlin Field.
