Drovers Continue to Improve at OBU Invite

SHAWNEE, Okla. – On Friday and Saturday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma track and field team competed at the OBU Invite, hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University.

On the women's side, freshman Naomi Salil finished with a time of 5:35.07 in the women's 1500-meter race. Savannah Creech (JR/Sugarland, TX) ran a time of 1:05.91 in the women's 400-meter event.

Arlette Melendez (SR/Chihuahua, Mexico) continued to improve on her shot put toss from last week, with a throw of 9.41 meters, followed closely by Chelsea Fuston (SO/Yukon, OK) with a throw of 8.59 meters.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Drovers will return to competition on Friday, April 1 when they open competition at day one of the Friends University Open in Wichita, Kan.
